It was lovely to find your site. My mother visited Bulwell during the war trying to find lost relatives with little success. Her Grandfather had a brother who lived there and said "the old man went to Mass in the monastery/Oratory?every day". He was known as either Connor or O'Connor and originally came from Co Galway. His brother,my GGgrandfather came to Belfast.One of the Nottingham Connor children was a sailor who was lost at sea. Anyway,it was lovely to see the church and Poor Clare Monastery. Interestingly,we have the Poor Clares in the area where I live in Belfast.Keep up the good work. |
