“Bulwell is Great” Bid:The bid to the Big Lottery Fund has been put on hold. It is sponsored by a community development group called “Regenerate”. Tony Prior came and spoke about it to a small group of us in October. Regenerate have put in ten bids from all around the country and they have all been put on hold by the Lottery because their style of ‘Working from the Grassroots up’ doesn’t meet the present Lottery criteria. They are now in dialogue about how to proceed and Tony Prior has told me he will seek out other Trusts who might fund a more modest bid while we wait to see what might eventually happen with the Lottery.Bulwell Riverside Opens this Monday:It offers City Council Social Care, welfare rights, neighbourhood management services, primary and community healthcare, GP practices and Nottingham City Homes Services all under one roof. There is also a spacious Youth and Play Centre and a library! Pop in and have a look round. Volunteers are needed too. See noticeboard. |
