Let us pray for a positive outcome as Pope Francis and all religious leaders meet to address the protection of minors within the Catholic Church. Let us pray especially for all the survivors of such abuse who will find these days particularly difficult as so much public attention is placed on this reality. We ask Lord to watch over them and help them to feel close to him during their continued suffering. Let us unite our parish to Pope Francis to ask the Lord’s pardon in the failings of our church and to seek the Lord’s blessing for the challenges ahead.
