Following a meeting I had with Bishop Patrick on Tuesday evening, he has decided to carry out a canonical process in relation to The Divine Infant of Prague church. In the meantime, the Parish Pastoral Council and myself met on Wednesday evening and decided that the 4pm Mass at Bestwood and the 6pm Mass at Bulwell will continue until the canonical process is complete. This may or may not be the result you were looking for. However, I ask you, for the good of the whole parish community, that we work together with each other so as to allow Bishop Patrick to begin his canonical process.
There will be ample opportunities for all the parishioners to have their voices heard and their views put forward.
Due to the larger number of older parishioners in Bulwell it would be better for their health and safety to have early Mass Inthe winter. Later Mass Inthe summer would not cause fear of walking or driving accidents.
