By Papal Decree, the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time – this year January 26th – is to be observed as a special day devoted to the celebration, study and dissemination of the Word of God. To celebrate this we will recommission all parish Readers at all 3 Masses this weekend. We will also enthrone the Bible in a special way during the Mass, to emphasise the honour and sacred nature of the text. Your Bibles will be blessed during Mass . Also at 5pm this Sunday 26th in Our Lady’s church there will be Evening Prayer to carry on the celebration of the Word of God. Bring your bibles, come prepared to pray and sing and get the core of Matthew’s Gospel fired at you in less than 900 seconds….
